Mission Statement

Our mission is to support individuals with disabilities physically, emotionally, and spiritually. RMIC will help them find self-worth and support them in gaining independence by teaching basic life skills, social skills, and skills for the workforce. RMIC will provide a safe space to come and socialize and grow in skills and abilities. We will provide opportunities for meaningful training to help this community thrive and become capable and productive members of society. And finally, we will achieve these things with love, understanding, and acceptance for all.

About Us

How we Started

Rocky Mountain Inclusive Connections started with one small socialization event organized by our cofounders in July of 2023. Following this event, our group got together for basketball monthly, a Christmas party, a “Galentine’s Day” celebration, and a few other events. Watching our group grow and seeing the potential we had to enrich the lives of this widely unreached community, we decided to expand our opportunities and form a nonprofit organization in March of 2024.

Vision for the Future

Our vision for the future is to continue to make more community connections in order expand our event opportunities. We plan to provide at least 2 events per month focused on socialization and/or life skills. We also plan to host some parent/guardian workshops.

Meet the Founders…

Julia Jencks

Hello! My name is Julia. I feel so incredibly blessed to be a part of this organization. I have a lot of experience working with children and adults with various disabilities. It has been amazing watching our small group turn into this organization.

I grew up with an amazing brother who has special needs and was in and out of the hospital with him frequently in our early years. From that, I always knew I wanted to be a nurse. I studied nursing in school, and I am an RN, BSN. In addition to being an RMIC cofounder, I currently work as a nurse case manager. I work with children and adults with special needs as an NCM and I absolutely love it. I have a passion to help these individuals thrive socially, emotionally, and physically.

We have an incredible vision for this organization, and all have a heart to pour into our community in this way.

Levi Worrell

Hello! My name is Levi. What a blessing it has been to be a cofounder of RMIC! I originally got pulled into the group by incredible girlfriend, Julia, and I have enjoyed being a part of this great group of passionate people.

Outside of our nonprofit, I work in telecom. I do have a background working with young adults with special needs. Throughout school, I worked with kids that have disabilities and have always enjoyed spending time with them. It makes me happy to help other people grow and to be a part of something bigger than myself. I have a heart to mentor the young men in our group and empower them to become successful and confident members of our society.

I am very excited for what is to come!

Darlyne and Scott Reed

Hello! We are so happy to have co-founded Rocky Mountain Inclusive Connections (RMIC) . This has been a dream of ours for many years . We have 3 kids, our two oldest have special needs .

We have spent over 20 years working with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, doctors , ABA therapists, and educational therapists trying to advance our children into functioning adults . The one thing that was always missing were the social skills , and life skills that they needed. Although we had our kids in many programs, we had never found a group , agency or program that met our kids needs and when they did , they quickly outgrew them. Though they did help our children progress some, it was not enough. It was then we begin to search for something more. Now that Rocky Mountain Inclusive Connections has been created , we would like to incorporate everything that we’ve learned in all our 20 years of being a special needs family . This includes all the resources in the community , school systems , agencies, county programs, individual & family workshops, life skills and social skills . We would like all of our kids to be on their way into functioning adulthood.

We can’t wait to see the continued growth with our kids and your kids.
